ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is an ancient Oriental method of therapy and is used in a wide variety of human and animal disorders. Most simply stated, it is a therapy first developed by the Ancient Chinese that consists of stimulating designated and precise points on the surface of the body by the insertion of fine solid needles, by application of heat (Moxibustion), or, more recently, by a variety of techniques that utilize modern technology from electrical stimulation to the implantation of substances and, still more recently, to low power laser acupuncture.

Veterinary acupuncture is a healing science which deals with the individual animal as a living energetic being, rather than simply as a catalogue of signs and symptoms. Effective veterinary acupuncture practice is based upon both the natural and scientific aspects of healing. The training of a veterinary acupuncturist includes both eastern and western medical methods in a synthesis medical insight.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE
Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We employ trained animal behaviorists who help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.

CHIROPRACTIC

A chiropractic adjustment is defined as a short lever, high velocity controlled thrust by hand or instrument that is directed at specific articulations to correct vertebral subluxations. It comprises the adjustment of vertebral joints, extremity joints, and cranial sutures. It includes evaluating the patient’s history, health state and prior x-rays and tests.

DENTAL CARE
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions.
