Vaccinations for Puppies and Dogs

Pet vaccinations are divided into two categories: core and non-core. Core vaccinations are recommended for every pet because they protect against a range of highly contagious diseases that could otherwise be fatal. Non-core vaccines are based on their risk of contracting certain diseases. We will work with you to create a vaccination plan specific to your pet.

Why should I vaccinate my pet?

Vaccinating your pet provides them with added protection against a range of diseases. Vaccines help build your pet’s immunity if they come into contact with certain diseases. They either provide complete immunity, which means your pet is fully protected against contracting the disease, or their symptoms would be mild if diagnosed with it. Vaccinations have been vital to creating herd immunity for pets, which means when enough pets are protected against a disease, its rate of transmission becomes extremely low. We recommend creating a vaccination plan while your pet is still a puppy and following up with booster shots throughout their adulthood.
