Dr. Sarah Barthelemy

Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah Barthelemy’s love for animals started at a very young age, and she spent much of her early years rescuing and caring for a variety of creatures (dogs, cats, hamsters, squirrels, and raccoons!) She started her career as a registered veterinary technician in 2005, which truly sparked her desire to delve deeper into the compassionate and challenging world of veterinary medicine.

In 2012, Dr. Sarah was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from Murdoch University in Western Australia. She spent the first few years practicing in British Columbia, gaining experience in small animal general practice and emergency medicine before deciding to settle in the beautiful city of Calgary in 2015.  While Dr. Barthelemy enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a special interest in small animal ultrasonography. She has completed the Small Animal Imaging Program at the Academy of Veterinary Imaging in Texas, USA. She continues to expand her skillset and knowledge in this field, focusing on abdominal, cardiac, and vascular imaging. Outside of her career, Sarah loves to travel, play sports, and spend time with her husband and two energetic boys.
